Raspberry compote, Raspberry fruit is a fruit commonly known as blackberry. But they are actually two different fruits. Although this fruit looks like a strawberry from the outside, it has a more sour taste. The growing and consuming periods of raspberry fruit coincide with the autumn and summer months. The tree on which the fruit grows is a member of the rosaceae family and is a plant that grows especially in Asia, America and Europe. The homeland of this fruit is not known exactly. However, in many scientific studies, it is estimated as the Aegean Region of Turkey. Although the roots of the raspberry fruit are based on very long years, they renew their shoots every two years. Since the plant is from the rosaceae family, it has abundant leaves and thorns on the stems. The plant of this fruit, which is mostly wild spontaneously, is seen in forest regions. The shoots of the plant bloom towards the ends in the second year and the fruits are formed.
Raspberry compote ingredients
A glass of granulated sugar,
One kilogram of raspberry fruit,
One teaspoon of lemon juice,
seven glasses of water,
Making raspberry compote
First of all, raspberries in open areas and forested areas must be washed. So that it does not crumble and disperse, wash it by keeping it in water. Then you can filter the water with the help of a strainer. Another detail here is to never use frozen raspberries. When preparing the raspberry compote, the first thing you will do is add sugar and water to a pot and boil it over medium heat until the sugar in it dissolves. When the sugar water starts to boil, the bottom is turned down and a teaspoon of lemon is added to it. Then, it is kept on low heat for about ten minutes until it comes to a consistency. When the time of sugary water in the stove is over, it is removed from the stove and set aside to cool. The raspberries that we cleaned and prepared beforehand are left in the warm sherbet and mixed with the help of a wooden spoon without damaging the raspberries. The most important detail here is that if you add raspberries to the syrup that does not reach the required temperature, the raspberries break apart and do not reach the desired fluid consistency. Therefore, you need to make sure that the syrup is warm. The compost that is ready is put in the refrigerator to collect itself and can be served after an average of twelve hours of rest. Enjoy your meal.
